This map started as a personal journal for documenting hikes of the 46 tallest mountains in New York. I have yet to climb all 46 but plan to make VR panorama’s of each summit. The map uses a custom place-mark w/ the 46er logo to designate each mountain. Clicking on a place-mark will open a balloon to display additional information, such as elevation, a picture, and some have links that open a panoramic view of the summit. Please note that the map was created for a display larger than what is seen on this page, therefore, the information balloons are not appropriately sized for this small page. I’ll have to address that issue down the road along with the image cache preload, as well as the addition of hing trails and trail heads. The view is improved if changed to “Earth”, you’ll see the results appear as planned.
An additional map that explores a variation of coding to resolve the balloon size issue can be see on the page Interactive Maps and Google Earth Tours

This is the newest place for my stuff; stuff about me, stuff I’ve done, and examples of stuff. This is the place where I can store stuff ,share stuff, chat, blog, and tweet newly created stuff that describes my existing stuff. I can even receive stuff from people who, after looking at my stuff, are compelled to contribute stuff of their own; Essentially, giving me more stuff.
